Steamed Clams

Ingredients for 4 people:

1 Kg. Of fresh clams

Olive oil

Coarse salt

common salt

Steps to follow:

A key point when cooking steamed seafood is clean, because clams, if fresh (and to make this recipe must be fresh clams), it is logical that we have to remove grit.

For that, one hour before start preparing our steamed, we will put them in a bowl and cover with water. Add coarse salt, will remove and let the land go driving alone (if you have the possibility of using seawater, the better).

After that time and with fresh clams and clean, heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. When olive oil is hot, we toss the clams and salted (with fine salt) to taste.

Stir with a wooden spoon and when they are open all steamed clams, and can remove from heat and serve. Should eat them immediately.

Another option would have been to cook clams steamed with a little white wine, which would add at the time they began to open the first clams.
