Cabrales cheese with Protected Designation of Origin. 1/4 piece
The Asturian blue cheese par excellence, with Denomination of Origin protected. An intense and authentic cheese like the land on which it is born: the heart of the Picos de Europa.
In addition to being made with milk from the area, this cheese is matured in the natural cave El Molin, in the heart of the mountain, using the same craftsmanship processes at the time of its inauguration, in 1913.
This cheese is handcrafted by the cattlemen of the council of Cabrales, or one of the three neighboring villages of Peñamellera Alta that also belong to the Denomination, and is made with raw cow's milk or with a mixture of two or three kinds of milk: cow, sheep and goat.
